Karen: What is a Middlebury experience? What makes a Middlebury student? Now, it's obviously, there's no one Middlebury type of student, but give me some descriptor.
George: I'm study double major in art, history and environmental science. So similar major to Karen, I think. And then I would say, yes, I think Middlebury students don't have a set of the trades like you can describe in several words. But I think one thing people share in common is this entrepreneurial spirit, and also this commitment towards each other. If someone promise you something, they will try their best to do it. And also people are super talented in every aspect you can think of there. I met students who can do DJ and also like same times writing poems and then preparing for the interview for Morgan Stanley. So like you just see them going everywhere.
Sophia: I'm currently a sophomore at Middlebury. I am a double major in film and economics. I think one thing about Middlebury student, I would say, is their commitment into global issues. It sounds kind of the cliche. But one thing that really impressed me when I first came here is how everyone is such global citizens, like everyone are so committed in global issues and have such diverse and interesting and global experiences.
Will: I'm a junior of feb, majoring in economics, and minor in philosophy and music. I totally agree with what George and Sophia said so far. George himself as DJ i've seen him amazing. And so the talent is definitely true, especially in a smaller school where you were, where I think you got a lot of like per student resources so that whatever you're interested in, whatever your talent lays, you really have a lot more opportunity to let them shine or just to explore different aspects of yourself.
I also wanted to touch on just probably smaller things. I have met some of the most amazing people here. It is the level of support i've been able to receive, not only from from like, so from students, from my friends, but also from staff and faculty members. I used to drop into some of my professors’ office hours, really literally just a chat or sometimes just talk about things that may not be really that class related. Or I can just have an in person good conversation with my dean, about what's going on with my life. And they will show general like genuine care about you, about your development. I think that's something you can only find in liberal arts colleges.
